Extruder suddenly shifts to the right
Hello all!
I'm experiencing this issue when the extruder of my mk2s shifts all the way to the right side of the printer, then returns to a wrong position continuing to print. I went through all possible causes I found online but nothing really solved the issue.
Here is what I did.
1. Replaced X axis bearings and belt
2. Made sure belt is properly installed.
3. Motor screw is secured
4. Got everything lubricated properly
5. Re-calibrate xyz
I'm printing through USB using simplify3D and never had an issue.
I have tried multiple g-codes, all files behave the same, some prints were able to print successfully while the same files mostly failed.
Any ideas?

Update
I have noticed that the printer is switching to silent mode mid print, printer settings was set to "auto mode". According to some online info silent mode is a possible cause for layer shifting since its reducing the stepper motor current, I have change the settings to "High mode" and will update soon hoping that the problem is solved.

I recently discovered that you could change how loud it is. So, I've been printing a bit in silent and auto and twice I've had layer shifts - well only once per print, but that's enough - shift was about 10mm each time.
