Extruder Motor Specs
TL;DR: What specs should I be looking at for a replacement extruder motor? I know it's a Nema 17, but beyond that are there other parameters I need to know to match the OEM part?
Backstory: I've been having an issue with under-extrusion for some time and I've narrowed down the cause to the extruder motor. I've been working with Prusa support but recently they've been slow at getting back, understandably with how busy they are, and I've decided to buy a new motor so I can get back to printing.
RE: Extruder Motor Specs
i suspect it's NOT your motor. there is not much to fail in a stepper. testing an E motor is pretty easy. mark the shaft, extrude a known amount, reverse the motor the same amount, does it end up where it started? usually the motor is so strong it will grind the filament without losing steps.
