Re: Did everyone get their orders on time?

If it wasn't for people updating in this thread I would be very frustrated for sure. So thanks everyone posting here! <3

Even though I'm not due for another 5 weeks, I'm still checking this thread every day just to see how they are doing!

Would definitely be nice with a bit more information coming out of Prusa Research on this, and more frequent updates on the estimated shipping table as well.

+1 to this. Would make the wait much easier being able to watch your date get closer and closer to "Now shipping"

Re: Did everyone get their orders on time?

They just updated the shipping info!
Thank you if someone is listening!
Or it may just be coincidence and now we wait another month for the next update 😯

I don't understand what Prusa thinks the purpose of the shipping information page is. They updated it today (the 30th), but the line below the 'now shipping' is the 29th....The whole schedule needs to be pushed back if it's going to be any sort of accurate 🙄

Hi everyone! Like so many, I too am making my start into the world of 3d modeling. I started with the the worst and bought a Geeetech Rostock 301 several months ago... still can't get it to work. Can not wait to get my I3 mk2s! Week of June 19 I will get that message saying the label was printed. Everyone here is great from all the reading I have done. Thank you Mr. Prusa for a great machine. Only wish I meet you sooner so I would not have bought the Geeetech. Hope to see you again at the Midwest riprap in Goshen, Indiana next year.

They should also be updating the store page, as 7 weeks till shipping is not accurate either. Especially for those with black kits it seems. Im on week 8, and with the most recent update, looks like itll be 9 weeks minimum before mine ships. Really needs to be updated so new purchasers can understand the true wait time they will be experiencing.

Re: Did everyone get their orders on time?

As I walked into work this morning, the sky was clear and the birds were singing. I started up my computer and logged in. As I was logging into my gmail account, I thought I heard a angel singing, then I saw it "[Prusa Research] Package in transit!"....Hallelujah! 😀

I ordered a Orange and Black kit on April 6th, first notice of shipping this morning May 31st. It's heading to the West Coast of the US (Oregon). I'll keep you all posted on transit times and customs delays. No delivery estimate at this time.

This wait is almost over.

Wow, you must be jumping for joy :P, too bad you will receive it after this weekend, still better than waiting any longer. On the other hand I ordered April 16th so I am right behind you :ugeek:

Definitely don't understand their shipping process.. You'd think with a 2 month lead time they'd be first come, first served. Granted I only ordered 1 day before you, but I haven't heard anything yet. Shipping to Texas.

I know what you mean. None of this makes much sense. I'm starting to wonder if Prusa Research outsourced the storefront, and just focuses on making printers. At the end of the day, they may just get a sheet saying make 25 orange and 20 black printers, and are oblivious to how they get sent out.

Matt I hope you hear something today, or very soon at least. Then all we have to worry about is our packages surviving the around the world trip, and all the parts being in order.....oh, man....I don't want to think about that 🙂

Re: Did everyone get their orders on time?

Hi guys,I've been lurking here for a while without commenting. I ordered my printer April 15th so I am getting close also but I would like to defend Prusa a bit. So first the site clearly states,

Important! Due to high demand, lead time is currently 7 weeks for preparation before shipping. Thank you. Then on the shipping page it says:

The dates are only an estimation and rely on the actual production. We're doing our best but please be aware that it can shift up to one extra week for the lead time. Or we can positively surprise you and ship it a bit sooner 🙂

So to me that states: 7-8 weeks for "preparation". Also clearly stated: This is an estimate and rely on "actual production".

And we all knew Black kits were lagging behind orange and black kits:

Then we have to look at. did the person pay with PayPal, or credit card? when did their payment post/clear?? "this would be the actual day the product was ordered. Did you order filament, PEI, or Nozzles? were they in stock? did you reorder or add to your order? did you ask to get it signed? and on... and on.. All things that could affect the order of shipping a day or 2. Even if they say "changes wont affect anything". I can say it can easily have a slight effect when it comes time to actual order packaging and shipping".

So taking all this into account I understand the slight order differences.

Also as far as the shipping table goes. I am sure that is there for us as much as it is used to balance expectations of people placing new orders. Why would he bump it up to 8 weeks when he is now in a building that will allow him to ramp up production very fast and finally decrease order lead time.

Sorry for my slight rant but I have worked for many startups and i know they don't usually do things to just be annoying.

So April 15th for my order, So I'm guessing It will ship around June 12th. The 10th is 8 weeks but because the weekend probably kicks me into the next weeks shipping.

Congratulations to those that have already received shipping orders. I bet you can already smell the ABS in the air...
I've been spending this wait time working in Fusion 360. No time like the present to start my journey to becoming a cad ninja someday.

Re: Did everyone get their orders on time?

FYI, I'm not saying a change always delays, a change can also move you forward in the list, I would think. I bet signing either moves you forward or back. after all Joe has to be in the building to sign it.

David you make very good points, that I don't think anyone would disagree with including myself.

I think this thread is more like the therapy room for a generation used to Amazon 2-day shipping. 😉 Nobody is bashing Prusa products, or spamming that we should all rage cancel or anything...just folks venting and commiserating a bit.

For myself, the last time I paid for something and had to wait 6-8 weeks to see it was in the 80's when I was buying something off a TV commercial and sent a check via snail mail.

The fact that this thread exists and has stayed alive is a bit of self evidence that Prusa could do more. Imagine a simple twitter feed from the shipping room stating "Started shipping April 6th orders today", this thread would probably be dead in a week.

Like I said, I couldn't agree more, the site stated when I ordered that I'd have to wait. But I'm spoiled and want my Prusa NOW 😀

Re: Did everyone get their orders on time?

Thanks for understanding Robert. And I totally feel your pain. The wait has been excruciating I agree. And the stream of info on shipping emails from the forum has been great. We seem to lack a bit of data on shipping times as you stated. so I paid for 2-3 day shipping for the little extra instead of 3-5 day but what does that mean. Does that mean Prusa to my door or is customs hosing us for a few days?? Please keep us posted on your shipping times. I bet tracking will stink so we might not know until you get your MK2 at your door but at least us in the states will know if customs is delaying us significantly or not. Thanks again, Hope you get it soon!!

Re: Did everyone get their orders on time?

Just to give you idea what to expect after Prusa Research issue pickup request to UPS.

A friend of mine told me that his printer was requested for pick up on 29th May (0400H) but only picked up by UPS on 31st(1400H). Export scan after 3 to 4 hours(31st 1800H) then the following day(1st June 1210H) until now (1st June 2200H) stuck at Czech customs.

My friend’s UPS current status:
01/06/2017 12:10 Your package is at the clearing agency awaiting final release. / Your package was released by the clearing agency.

Days to pickup: 2 days
UPS/ Czech Customs: 26hours and still counting

More than 3 days wasted. 🙁

I work in private label manufacturing, and the lead time for equipment, tooling and raw materials is measured in months. One piece of new equipment we ordered has a lead time of 8 months.

There are also preorders for anime figures, one that I ordered in July of last year has a release date of June of this year.

I reminds me of my military days....Hurry up and wait 🙂

It's been 24 hours since my shipping notice, UPS still shows: A UPS shipping label has been created. Once the shipment arrives at our facility, the tracking status--including the scheduled delivery date--will be updated.

I'm hoping for getting it by the 8th or 9th, so I can assemble over that weekend :geek:

Re: Did everyone get their orders on time?

Hi everyone!
I haven't post anything for the moment on Prusa forum but spend time to read... 😉 ...and particularly this subject because, as you all said, sharing delivery information helps a lot!
So, time for me to contribute, here are the facts :

-> I placed an order for black/orange kit and some spools on April 18th.

-> On May 16th, I placed another order for spools.
Nothing happened to this order until today...

But today, and you already guess it, I had my expected UPS traking number and mail !!
Regarding the total weight, it's a single pack with my two orders (tracking number is attached to the kit order).

Package has reach "Export scan" status approximatly 2.5 hours after pich-up at Prusa big farm.
12 hours between "Ready for UPS" and "Export scan".
The package travels to France.

Voila, I'm so happy about this very good surprise ! 😛

Hope it helps and will inform when I have the box on hands.
Thank you all for posting here!

I'm about to be a -Pursa Owner Team- member 😎 !! 😀

Hang in there. Prusa has to make sure our US orders are wrapped in that black plastic so they don't get wet on the boat ride over to the US 😆 so that takes a little longer 😉
