I just ordered my I3 MK2S on April 6th.
How often does the shipping schedule get updated?
I guess I'm asking, if they seem behind according to the schedule, are they? or does it just get updated every couple of weeks?
Of course I'm checking 10 times a day hoping Prusa magically ships June orders in April 😀

I think they update the schedule once a week or so, but the timing varies a bit (or else there's a pattern I haven't noticed). 🙂

Based on what I have noticed from the last 5 weeks of my checking, sometimes it is weekly. But, there was one period where it took 2.5 weeks to update.

Just talked with their chat support - the reason the all-black ones are backlogged is that they only print black parts one day every week.
So if there are alot of all-black orders waiting between now and your order, expect the waiting to be a lot longer than what the table says on the website.
This doesn't seem right ... why can't they print all-black parts until they're caught up with the orange/black orders? As others have said, this should be made known at the time we placed our orders.
I agree, which is why I'm watching the schedule carefully, to see if I need to change my order to an orange one to get it before christmas 😉

they need to get someone updating the sheet daily ... would take 5 mins.
its unacceptable to have paying customers waiting without regular info.
would cost next to nothing and make a lot of people a lot happier with the whole experience
i check the shipping page several times a day! i'm really excited!! only to be let down by laziness 🙁
come on guys this isn't too much to ask surely?

Looks like the all black version I ordered is going to be a couple of weeks late. I don't regret ordering a Prusa i3, I regret ordering a Prusa i3 as my first 3D printer. Almost two months of waiting so far (Ordered march 5th). I was hoping for delivery before their estimated timeframe, and for a couple of weeks it seemed like they were ahead of schedule, but that did not last. They announced the MK2S improvements which was a nice surprise, but it wiped out their progress they made in deliveries.
Hopefully just a few more weeks of waiting 🙂 Someone hold me.

I guess all it took was me venting here 🙂 The website still shows me "backordered," but I just received the shipping notification. All-black pre-assembled ordered on 1/26. UPS shows that the package was picked up too.

They actually are still ahead. I ordered March 7. Originally the ship date was May 1. After the note about being a week ahead disappeared, my order week was changed to a shipping from date from May 1 to April 24. So, they are still a week ahead of the original schedule, they just quit bragging about it.

I ordered a black kit as well on 2/16/17 - customer service told me last week that they will ship this week the latest.

According to the chart mine was supposed to ship the 17 and now the 19 and still hasn't shipped. Just got tracking info today cant wait

Woooo! It's coming!
Orange kit ordered 26/02, got my tracking number this afternoon. I was expecting it today based on other orders from the same week as me, so it looks like the lead time on orange kit orders is getting better. Now the only issue is it's Easter this weekend, which is slowing my delivery down. Not that it really matters, as i'm working all of Easter anyway...

Easter was in between. Maybe they took some well deserved vacation and closed down the print farm for the long weekend?

Actually, my kit was ordered February 25th and was scheduled for shipment the week of April 17th. It shipped on the 11th and was received in Kansas City, Missouri, USA, on the 17th. A long lead time but I knew that going in and am very pleased it arrived a week earlier than expected. 😀

In my defence, I have to say that they did ship mine after their vacation
I kept track of order/delivery dates during the last couple of months on this thread and mostly the waiting time was very consistently 33 work days or 46 calendar days. Based on this I was expecting mine to be delivered last week, but unfortunately they took almost a week longer (50 days). I did not notice any significant changes in the delay. Before easter they were mostly between 32 to 34 workdays except 5 out of 30 (one being 28 and one 36).
There was a gap of one week in their estimated schedule (skipping from 4th to 17th of April and not shipping anything on 10th), so this explains why it seems they were a week ahead at some point.
It is still going to be next week until the package is here and then the waiting begins... when is my print ready?!!!
