Re: filament skipping

Clogged nozzle probably! (assuming you print at correct temperatures for the filament you are using)

When it happens to me, first thing I'll do is to turn up the temperature to 250-260 degrees, and then try to manually push trough some filament (loosen the tension screws for the idler) If that doesn't work I remove the extruder fan to let that heat crawl up to the colder parts, let it sit for a few minutes to see if that helps loosing up some clogged filament (make sure it doesn't get to hot though, since that could probably ruin some things badly, you've removed the cooling now!!)

Between prints and always when changing filaments I'm running through some eSun cleaning filament. http://www.esun3d.net/Products/eClean
Not sure that's helping or if its something else, but haven't had any issues with clogged nozzle during the last 4-6kg of filament.

Re: filament skipping

thanks for the reply. If i manually extrude the filament it works fine. Also i have noticed if i push down the filament with some force it keeps on working, and as soon i let it go, it starts skipping again. I have the tensioner tight pretty well.

Re: filament skipping

Maybe the pulley is lose on the extrusion motor shaft?

Or the idler is frozen?
