X axis printed part slots too small?

Hi, I'm on step 5 of the X-axis assembly ( https://manual.prusa3d.com/Guide/3.+X-axis+assembly/299 ) and I cannot fit the nuts into the slots on the printed part.

My first instinct is just to use a drill to widen the holes a little bit, but I wanted to ask first:
1. Are those holes supposed to be very tight?
2. Should I drill out the holes or just try pressing the nuts in? It seems like pressing them in would probably require a hammer and take an amount of force that might cause the plastic part to crack.

My X ends were tight with the nuts also. It's likely the first layer is a bit squished with an "elephant foot" effect. You can trim that off with a hobby knife of a de-burring tool.
Honestly, those 2 nuts and screws are not needed IMO
I run modified MK3 X ends on my MK2S and they do not have those screws

Anything can be made better

Thanks. I ended up drilling them a little bit and then tapping the nuts in with a rubber mallet. It still took some force but not enough to damage the part I guess.

Turns out that using a knife as you suggested would have been a much better idea - I didn't think about this until it was too late, but I was drilling out tiny bits of plastic with the bearings already inserted, and a few bits of plastic ended up inside the bearings. Hopefully some canned air was enough to remove it all, but I'll have myself to blame if I end up with a sticky X axis bearing. 😳
