X-axis end stop issue
I finished assembly of the MK2 kit, and like some others on the forums, have had the following issue.
The x-axis carriage that holds the extruder does not trigger the x-axis end stop. I tried pushing the end stop all the way out but it didn't move very far. So I then glued a small piece of plastic on the surface (~1.5mm) that is supposed to trigger the end stop. This partially works, but the wire bundle coming out the back of the x-carriage still pinches against the frame before the end stop is triggered. One of the wires has already started to fray after only 2 prints. I have a kit shipped very recently.
My thought is to add a thicker piece of plastic to the surface that triggers the end stop (approx. 3.5mm) but I am worried that this may mess up the XYZ calibration process as well as further reduce my x-axis print volume.
I don't mind adding more plastic, but I want to make sure that won't start to mess up calibration.
Anyone else successfully solve this issue?
Re: X-axis end stop issue
The cables should not hit the frame.
The will hit the frame if they are not arranged just right.
Are the cables or the zip-ties making contact with the frame?
