Building problems

Hello there! I have been printing files on my printer and almost every time the printer starts printing the file wrong. It starts out printing the file normally and then half way through It has a hiccup and starts printing the file wrong. Even the files that came with the printer do this and I don't know why. I don't touch it during the production It just happens. Any answers would be appreciated.

Ps I have included pictures of the basic Gear i tried to print and it had this problem. The bottom of it printed correctly but half way through it started making the lip which is at the top.

Re: Building problems

Hi, that looks like what happen when the pulley get a bit loose and some skip steps occurs.

Check that the 2 screws holding them are well tightened, and that the belt is properlly tensionned.

I'm like Jon Snow, I know nothing.

Re: Building problems

The GT2-16 on X and Y stepper motors.

The one you can see here: http://manual.prusa3d.com/Guide/3.+X-axis+assembly/105#s1583

Re: Building problems

Glad it helped 🙂

That's a good question, there are actually several ways.

For flat object, brims, I use this one. It's handy, very efficient if the print is not too much glued on the plate. Do not use it if the print resist, it's the best way to cut and damage the PEI sheet !!

For bigger part, with big flat surface, I try to manage to unglue a small corner then insert that under it:

I'm now trying to use this kind as well, with mixed result, I'm trying to find the best way to use it:
