Z axis fails to calibrate - Z endstop value bouncing between 1 and 0

I recently upgraded from a Mk 2.5 to a 2.5S.  I have not been able to get it to calibrate the Z axis.  The motors run fine and after I run the Z axis all the way up, they move down about 1/4" then I get "Calibration Failed. Check the axis and run again". I have loosened the bolts, confirmed everything was working correctly and smoothly.

Oddly, when I go into Calibration --> Show Endstops, I get X=0, Y=0, and the Z bounces from 0 to 1 about 4 times a second.  I suspect this is my issue.

I tried to calibrate the PINDA, however it tells me I have to calibrate XYZ first which I cant do.

Any ideas what might be the issue or how to proceed?

Thanks!

That does seem like the PINDA is false triggering. My first thought would be the wrong firmware. Or even the wrong PINDA selected in the LCD menu. Did you complete Step 5 in the upgrade guide to install the MK2.5s firmware?

And make sure the PINDA is within 1mm of the nozzle. Otherwise it won't detect the bed and might crash into it badly during calibration, possibly damaging the bed.
