Squeaky X-axis
I know this is a problem that has been mentioned at least since the MK2, but my X-axis (most specifically the idler) is getting louder and louder. It squeaks like crazy whenever the belt moves. The bottom of the belt twists just slightly and it rubs against the printed part a little. This has been the case with the MK2 in general for me, but now that I upgraded to the MK2.5, it's by far the loudest part of my printer.
I've seen comments about this being a design flaw, or talking about the improved parts in the MK3 (not sure if they help this issue though), or even suggestions like using a toothed pulley instead of the smooth pulley. But is there an actual fix for this or is it just something that only can be temporarily minimized?
Re: Squeaky X-axis
I have the same issue on my mk3.. latest parts
Re: Squeaky X-axis
Have you tried loosening the bolt? I don't have the issue on either the MK2 or MK3, but I remember people stating they had the issues or cracked the part installing the bolt and nut. Its using a nylock nut and doesn't need to be tight. If I were you, I'd try re-printing the part as well since I don't think it will go back if it was over-tightened (maybe heat it and spread it out a bit?).
