Slow heatbed warmup causes M112 and heatbed warmup fails
Many of my prints fail early because my heatbed takes quite some time to heat up.
The Printer (MS2.5S) shows M112, and Octoprint shows heatbed heatup errors.
I print ABS exclusively. The first layer is printed at 100°C heating up takes about 15 min . From the second Layer on the temperature is increased to 110°C this take a very long time (around another 5-10 min, the room is at 24°C) . But the printer stops after a few minutes because it thinks the heatbed is broken because it is not warming up fast enough.
This is quite annoying. Is my slow heatup normal? the printer is quite old (bought it early) but the heatbed isn't... could it be the powersupply? What are your warmup times to 100°C and 100°C to 110°C?
Is there a way to allow more time for the warmup in the firmware?
RE: Slow heatbed warmup causes M112 and heatbed warmup fails
Hi Simon,
Are all of your connections good? some people have issues with the power connectors on the Rambo... and is your heatbed cable good. I have had 2 fail...
Some people get the washers in the wrong place on the heatbed power connectors at the heatbed end... this causes localised heating because of the high resistance ...
When My printer was a Mk1... I used to get heatbed problems so I boosted the power supply voltage, I think it's 12.8 volts now
It now has a mk52 12 volt heatbed and doesn't complain...
there is a preset resistor on the edce of the power supply PCB, next to the power connectors. check the voltage with a good meter!
