PTE filament stuck in PTFE tube

I seem to have a clog in my ptfe tube! I was printing the new extruded parts for the MK2.5 upgrade and everything was going smoothly, came back to check on the print about 2 hours later and thought it was weird that my print wasn't higher, looked closer to see that I was printing in mid air.

First I heated the extruder up to 280 to see if that would resolve though it did not, pricked the extruder with a needle and heated it up again, got a small blob out but didn't fix, extruder a little, nothing happened, tried to unload filament and it wouldn't so I started to unhinge the extruder assembly from the x carriage assembly, disconnected the extruder to find a blob at the top of the ptfe tube, tried to remove this but it snapped off from the rest of the filament now stuck in the ptfe tube! Pictures attached!

So what are my options here, I really really don't want to remove the whole assembly considering my pinda etc was tuned in so nicely and more so when I'm going to have to do it all over again when I install the 2.5 upgrade!!

Help! Please! 🙈

Note for Mods: incorrectly placed in MK3 forum, can be moved to MK2S/2.5 thread.

Update: I think I've fixed this, I heated up to 280 and stopped the cooking fan, I then pushed through the PTFE tube with a long piece of ABS filament and a small hex key. Now however when loading filament my extruded gear skips and isn't loading the filament so I'm not sure what's causing this, it may be the tension springs though pretty sure they are accurate however I can't be sure that this is fully resolved until I can sort out my extruded gear.

On the brigbtside though at least so far it appears that I don't have to fully disassemble the the whole carriage and subsequent wiring!phew!

MOD NOTE: Moved as requested - PJR
