Printer will not boot

After finishing a print earlier i was prepping for another and when i started the new print i got a bed preheat error. It has happened to me in the past and a Firmware upgrade fixed it. So i went looking to see if a new firmware was available and saw 3.8 is out. So i downloaded it for my 2.5 opened Prusa Slicer and Flashed the firmware. Literally just as it said it finished the screen went to 2 solid bars and a loud and very continuous beep started emitting from the printer. Only choice i had was to power it off by the switch.

Turned it back on and still the same thing 2 bars and never ending beep. Tried re-flashing the 3.7 FW but to no avail. got me one loud dead printer. Anyone have any thoughts on this one. i did a search on the forums found nothing specific to what i am experiencing.

RE: Printer will not boot

I had the same issue. Until I realised that I had picked the wrong HEX file. The one I picked was for the rambo 1.0a instead of the 1.3a that is in my printer. That was my problem. Have you checked you chose the right HEX file?

@marcelx

Yeah that was what I found. I wish they would just split the hex files into separate folders in the update just to make it easier.

Yep, I agree! So you're up-and-running again? Happy printing! 😉
