Hi All

I am facing a strange issue may be some one can help, So i got the MK2.5 Upgrade printed all parts bought a new hotend as well installed everything.

upgraded firmware to 3.1.3

Self test Pass

tried to do the first layer cali. but hotend is stuck at 205 and is not increasing and it seams it is heating up real slow(But this might be me hovering over the damn thing waiting for it to finish)

Any idea what might cause this

Re: Hotend Temprature is not exceeding 205

is the heater 12 volts or 24 volts
a 24 volt heater on a 12 volt psu would have problems

It should be 12V, that is what i ordered at least. Is there a way i can verify if it is a 12V or 24V

Check the resistance with ohm meter.

12v/30w: 5-6 ohms
12v/40w: 3-4 ohms
24v/30w: 19-24 ohms
24v/40w: 9-12 ohms

Also believe the originals are 40w ones vs 30w. but still, it should get passed 205c. either the thermistor is reading wrong or it's not sitting in tight etc....
