extruder printed in orange, a real problem ?
Hi guys,
after printing the extruder parts for the MK2(s) -> MK2.5 upgrade in orange abs, I noticed that prusa doesn't ship the upgrade anymore with orange filament.
they are only going to be shipped with black petg now, due to issues with the optical filament runout sensor.
is there a real problem with the runout sensor and a "light color" of the extruder cover ?
or could this be fixed by adding some black paper stripes at the right location ?
I don't like to print the parts again (in black), because my genuine MK2 has all it's printed parts in orange (except the psu and rambo cover)....
---
by the way, I already had difficulties with an optical runout sensor at my own MK2 clone.... so I designed a reliable mechanical sensor.
dem inscheniör is' nix zu schwör...

Yes, I've got a black PETG too 😮
And a Handbook written in PL 😯 Or is it CZ ? 🙄

Hi,
print it in orange and paint the inside of the filament sensor slot with a black maker or black spray 🙂
