Prusa i3 MK2.5 MMU
I currently have a Prusa i3 MK2S with MMU, and I'm thinking of doing the upgrade to the MK2.5. If I want to continue doing multi-material prints, can I keep the current MMU or do I need to get the MMU 2.0 upgrade kit once it's released?
Thanks for your help!
RE: Prusa i3 MK2.5 MMU
I'm not very familiar with anything pre MK3S. But I have been looking around these forums and the Prusa site a while now.
As far as I know Prusa stopped selling most older upgrade kits.
You can get the MMU2S upgrade kit. That replaces your old MMU and needs an upgrade of your MK2S to MK2.5S, MK3s or MK3S+
Have a look at this manual: https://help.prusa3d.com/en/guide/1-introduction_36832
There you can see what printers are incompatible with the MMU2S
And when you look at the Prusa firmware options you see there is no MMU 1 firmware for the MK2/S
I would contact Prusa support and ask them directly what you options are to upgrade. All the way down the prusa3d.com page or via the chat function in the Eshop (you may need to log in first and it will shop and right bottom corner)
