nozzle will not screw back in after removing per manual to clear clog-
removed the nozzle as per instructions ( heated it to 285)and now it will not screw back in

I would carefully inspect the heat block, be sure that no scorched filament or other crud is lodged in the female threads.
I've found that the nozzle will screw in easily using a socket that can hold the nozzle in a vertical position. If both the threads on the nozzle and the threads in the heat block are clean and undamaged, it will screw in easily.

Silly question, you are heating the block before you tried to screw in the new nozzle?
