MK2.5S Print Fails on First Layer

Hi, Has enyone came across this problem before?

I have done the mk2.5s upgrade and installed the latest firmware 3-10-1-4697 but I am getting some very peculear problems when trying to print, it starts of with the bed calibration and the usual line of filament then moves on to the main stl model, at this stage it starts laying down the first layer of print, then the printer stops printing lifts the extruder and then goes back to home position and then starts again with the calibration and laying down the extrusion line of filament? I have no ideal what is going on, I have reinstalled the firmware but this makes no difference, I am using PLA and temps are as stated on manufacture between 190-230c Bed set at 60 with no adhesion problems, have tried different temps, and different stl models but still the same thing happens. I am hoping thoe's with greater knowlage of 3D printing can help me resolve this anoying problem.

Where did you get the gcode?  Is this gcode you printed with successfully before the upgrade?  Have you tried printing something you know you had success with before the upgrade?

Cheers

Hi Bob,

Thank you for your help with this stupid problem, the gcode for the DINK was a download? but I have tried several different gcodes and all are having the same responce, this is a mk2s upgraded to a mk2.5s? I have tried different firmwares to try and resolve this and nothing seems to help, re-checked all parts of printer build plus allignment, done bed leveling many times and first layer callibration,  even an assortment of new fillements. diferent temps on bed and hotend, I am using a genuine E3D V6 setup same as my other machines, first layer looks extreamly good up until the point of restart,

All the gcode files print exellent on my other MK2.5s - MK3S - and mini+,  apart from this troublesom Mk2.5s, its just so frustrating,

Cheers

Paul
