after 2.5 upgrade, print quality is bad!
So I finally completed the 2.5 upgrade along with the flash upgrade.
When I print now (PLA), the first layers are beautiful, perfect with no skips, bumps, etc. But when the printer gets up to about 5 mm off the bed, the surface quality changes. I printed some test prints with vertical sides and the surface appears to have excess material like there was over-melting or the nozzle height to the previous layer was too low. Is it possible for each layer to be too close to the previous layer? How can I adjust that?
Any other suggestions or test ideas? Thanks for any help or comments.

just about to flash mine.... so we'll see. However, i had a messed up the heat break so it's swapped out for a new one i had... while i was at it i threw on the steel nozzle and put new gates GT2 belts on X/Y.... so i could of messed something up somewhere along the lines.
pics would help though to see if it's related to the mk3 issue...

That's ABS/ASA? i've only seen that with ABS but if it's not slicer settings then it's something in the build.

The label on the spool says PLA! I'll try a different spool and see if the results are better...

If it's ABS, you would smell this as the print is going on 🙂
