Doesn't look too bad 😀

I'd heat the nozzle up to 240 degrees, then use needle nosed pliers to peel most of the gunk off. That should allow you to take the hotend out and clean the heater block and nozzle with a soft wire brush, using a heat gun to soften the filament residue. 

Formerly known on this forum as @fuchsr -- until all hell broke loose with the forum software...

Had the same thoughts also, the blob is behind the extruder fan and will not allow it to spin freely.

You can also use an old soldering iron to melt away parts of the blob. You just have to be VERY careful not to contact any wires or printed parts.

Just curious, did you have the silicone sock installed on the heater block? That will help the cleanup process a lot.
