RE: Unofficial Prusa XL Waiting Thread

That may make sense then mine is 16373.... :'(

Absolutely this order starts with 16372 , oddly enough it shipped before the Single head semi assembly . Curious though how much the import duties are gonna bang me on this too . For packages coming to the states they seem to be hitting harder and harder .

I plan to do a full review of the unit once it’s received up and running . Probably try and do an unboxing video of sorts too . Never done one but first time for everything 😃

It is hard to tell how many of them contained an XL.

Thanks for that, it gives me some hope.  I'm 16372473xx, so, even if your order was 1637200000, I can't be more that 47,300 orders behind you.  I've ordered the kit.  They claim with the dual head printers, fully assembled and kit are shipping together, but I don't know if that's really happening.

Mine is also 16372.  My order was placed right when it was posted on the forum and before formally announced.

As has been discussed, the order numbers are not all sequentially filled, it's a time stamp.  16372 just means Nov 18.

1637247300 is Nov 18, 15:50

I ordered 16372452XX which is 18 Nov 15:21

I think it was after the email, but it might have been to a forum message alert.  So long ago I don't remember...

The last number moves the order time by 1 second, FYI.

I used this:

https://www.epochconverter.com/timezones?q=1637245271&tz=Europe%2FPrague

PRUSA, If you are listening, start using time codes instead of dates for shipping updates.  It get rid of all of the time shift and day light savings BS.

The anouncement:

https://forum.prusa3d.com/forum/original-prusa-general-discussion-announcements-and-releases/original-prusa-xl-is-out/

This was the actual thread, and it came out before the announcement:

https://forum.prusa3d.com/forum/original-prusa-general-discussion-announcements-and-releases/any-info-on-the-prusa-xl/paged/10/#post-529111

I am sure we were both responding to the same thread and we were.  We both saw it.  I ordered at 644 (AM) EST.  I was 20 minutes after the original post.  I kept tinkering with the order to get it right.

Might you share when you placed your order? I placed mine 6 hours after cwbullet (Chuck) apparently.

Good to know they are shipping.  Hopefully, they start shipping the multihead kits soon.

I will be on Prusa Live to ask for more transparency in the shipping process.

Yep, definitely not all sequential... In the document shared in this thread are people with higher order # but sooner date than me (my order # starts with 1659 and ordered in July 2022 - can confirm it's unix timestamp for me.)

A couple of folks brought up the shipping schedule and lack of transparency during Prusa Live.  They either did not see it or mentioned the shipping schedule was updated recently.

I just contacted Chat re. the status of my order. Nothing exciting, but at least they confirmed that they have shipped some Dual-tool XLs.  Instructions for assembly of Single-tool Kits has been posted as well as Dual-tool Unpacking, but no instructions for Dualtool Kit assembly yet.  Divine from that what you will.

Yup, all confirmed, so still in the queue, pre-order amount was regularly paid, nothing irregular with the order, so there will be the email with the invitation to complete the order soon - sadly, I don't have an estimation for that or for the shipping timeframe yet, but we'll get there, we indeed started with shipping of the very first 2-tool XL recently 🙂

When they post the dual head assemble, they are likely shipping them.

Yes, that's what I'm assuming too.

Yes, I watched it live, excitedly expecting some sort of update.  Really disappointed that there wasn't a single mention of production/shipping/orders/etc.  I guess Joe is getting tired of saying the same old thing about delays.

Atleast they did say "the schedule has been updated."  Not really but I will keep telling myself that.

They also mentioned something about adding 100 employees to their manufacturing department.

Yes.  That was great news.  It is good to get good news that makes the light visible from the end of the tunnel.

One more positive tidbit is that more and more printers are being reported as shipping on here, reddit, dicord, and facebook.   Hopefully, they are not the same folks.
