Considering the expect to release it Q2/Q3 then the 2nd of July fits perfectly.

Well, since all of these posts are dated at the bottom using the "day, month, year" format, their ETA ship dates probably do too.....so guess that means July.   Oh well.  As you said, Q2-Q3 delivery is being advertised, so February was never really a reasonable hope.  

I wonder if any I3 updates will happen between then and now?

I preordered one today and I can’t wait.  I want the 5 print head model but ordered just one.  I might change that when I finalize the order for delivery.

I did the exact same thing Chuck. Pre-ordered a single but will likely upgrade to 5. I was on a plane from Korea when the XL announcement happened and I had it on pre-order by the time I cleared customs.😁

Just making up the pre-order numbers. Order placed Fri 19th 07:57, for XL-2. May go the whole hog with the XL-5 when it's time to ship. Time to retire the MMU2S I think.

The delivery dates were written in error and afaik have been removed for all existing orders.

Interesting I thought I had heard somewhere the XL was going to use the larger diameter filament, but it looks like it still uses 1.75mm which is great because I have a ton of spools lol

Never fly a A model. Thank you all for stepping in as a BETA tester for 3500 euro. I will wait until all frustrations, mistakes, errors, updates and ….. are solved. In my opinion the XL is one big experiment of new functions.

I suspect they removed dates as there is no set release date yet.  I expect it to reappear nearer the time...

Well, if a company is new to the game i would say yes. But this company has alot of experience now with "their stuff"
And yes. there will be bugs, there will be assembly issues.
Documentation is not (really) available since "You" are one of the first.
I think they worked 1-2years behind the scene at the XL. Maybe some months ago the first prints came out of the machine.

Since corona is back (oh wonder not expected) i think there will be a hugggggggggggggggeeeeeeeeeeeeee delay for later orders.
Last year ppl paid 50% more to get one mk3 because some ppl dont want to wait 4-5 months when the first reviews are up.
its not the price range where the usually beginner kicks in. plenty ppl started with kind of ender printers, stepped up to a prusa and thought wtf why i have wasted my time with that crap ^^
but 2k rips a bigger hole in your pockets. i hope i can quote myself in 6 months when you find XL-1/XL-2 on Ebay for 3k 😛

1h ago i saw the live stream and i wish they would talk about enclosure options. "reveal" right before shipping is not satisfying.
This printer without enclosure is useless toy. If you want to print serious theres no way without enclosure.

The "curtain" looks good. But anyone who had a printer that starts the print in the sky of the frame know also that the first layers are important. Try ABS 25x25 with an "Open sky".....no way.
