He bypassed the AMS and still had issues.  Bambu finally agreed on an exchange. But this was after a large number of hours troubleshooting.

Yes. That was my post. What's your point? That the X1 Carbon has issues? Well actually that's not the X1 Carbon, that actually is the AMS, totally different machine. The X1 Carbon, has had issues like any other brand new and innovative release. BUT it's in a league completely above anything Prusa has to offer and for around the same price as an assembled MK3s, which at this point is a dinosaur. It's sad but it's a reality, Bambu Lab got Prusa with their pants down holding a kind of functional prototype of the XL. They were a successfull kickstarter and they keep delivering. Bambu Lab printers are printing right now all over the world at speeds never imagined by any Prusa printer also using materials never imagined by a stock MK3s. In the meantime, No MK4, No XL. All we have is a MK3s wich need to be upgraded to even have wifi. Creality even has the sonic pad with klipper, octo what? the phrase here is "Left behind"

I have three versions of the XL on pre-order minutes after it went up for pre-order on November 18. I’m still anxiously, awaiting, on an email

It appears the orders started at approximately 0600 AM EST on 11/18/2021.

That matches my dim memory. I'm glad they are shipping finally so we can hear how it works outside of the beta.

In the PRUSA-shop, on the XL-page, I read ...
" Pre-order information: Shiping of the fully assembled printers with one tool head already started. ..."
I might be picky, but I recent the statement "already" 🙁

"finally" might be more exact or a simple "has started".
Yeah I know, I whine.

Is there any news about the foldable "skirt"? Is this now part of the printer or something that has to be bought seperatly?

I would like, and need, to print with PCCF and thus need an enclosure. I wonder if that skirt will do the trick?
My guess is unfortunatly: not really as the print bed will be above or level with the skirt when starting a print.

... so I wonder, what the use of that skirt might be.

Since it's been several days with no chatter on this thread, assume some of you received your fully assembled single-head XL's. I waited until day 3 to order my 5-head XL kit, & I'm not switching it to single-head pre-assembled, or an MK4. So I know I'm in for a long wait, but still looking for the early feedback.

Doh.. I feel a bit hard on seein MK4 is out and shippable, yet XL is delayed to all kinds of parts shortages. This doesn't sound good, cos 1) how come shortages didn't affect MK4? 2) Jo Prusa told lies (presumably) about XL delays. Anyone else share same feeling?

XLs are shipping, just slowly. Different products, different parts, though there seems to be a good bit of overlap. Hopefully Prusa can ramp up shipping of both products... I'm a day 3 XL preorder and a MK4 order within the first 30 minutes... still don't have any info on MK4 shipment :).

Lots of XLs out there now. I wish we got some more info on the toolchanger, that seems to be the issue now?
