ive build a voron 2.4 from scratch with not a single knowledge about vorons or klipper.

after 3 months it was a rock solid machine just doing what i want....

Great! Now do it 100,000 more times & ship it to users around the world, & provide support in dozens of languages. Make it user friendly so that children & users with no technical or mechanical skills, experience, or knowledge can assembled & operate it. While your at it, manage the supply chain for consistent reliable parts during global supply shortages, but try to keep costs down.

Then you might have something to brag about, & a right to complain. Until then, you're just a whining irritant.

Whatever you find to do with your hands, do with all your might!

Let’s try to keep this a friendly exchange of ideas.

this is turning into insulting statements. Respect eachothers points of views. No need to turn ugly.

I think you're just been biased and not objective at all. You say Bambu is not Prusa and then mention that Bambu's are not upgradable. Well, yes, they are not. They are tools that work as intended, as far as I'm concerned pretty much every user is more than satisfied with them. Bambu's printers are light years ahead of anything Prusa has to offer or claim they will offer, XL. The XL is not even a reality and it's already playing catch up with the X1 Carbon. Very few advantages and a loooooooooot of disadvantages and not a lot of innovation to put it mildly. You don't but a $2000 printer to upgrade it or tinker (play) with it. A $2000 printer has to be a tool, a reliable one that prints and prints well and, yeah, also fast. If you have $2000 to spend on a toy, good for you but most people just want to print stuff, not play with their $2000 printer.

I wonder why all the Bambu Lab Fanatics like to come over and troll the Prusa forums.  Oh, wait, it is because Bambo Labs forums stink.

RE: Unofficial Prusa XL Waiting Thread

LOL. I own 2 Prusa MK3s, upgraded to bondtech with Mosquito hotend. I own ZERO Bambu Lab printers. I'm not a Bambu Lab Fan but I'm also not a Prusa fan boy. I'm not trolling you or the other Prusa fanboys. I'm just stating facts, and now Win J. comes back with a video showing a flaw in the X1 Carbon. A printer that just came out, which of course is going to have some issues like all new releases, issue they already fixed, just to prove what? That the MK3 is superior? No it's not. And if Bambu Lab can withstand the test of time, the line of MK...from Prusa is in serious trouble. Even the XL is in serious trouble and it's not even out yet. That's a reality, if you guys want to stick your heads in the sand, that's OK. But if I was Prusa I would be very worried and taking notes. Unless they don't care about the consumer market and the community anymore which to be honest that's the vibe I've been getting since the release of the SL1.

I own both.  The Prusa is not outdated in way, shape, or form.

Why do you need to troll here if you think they are outdated?

Did you not note that I was posting that video in response to that poster stating (paraphrasing) “as far as I am concerned ever customs is satisfied”  Or did you just ignore it to fit the narrative?

RE: Unofficial Prusa XL Waiting Thread

C'mon man. Let's get serious here. If you own a Bambu Lab X1 Carbon you know that is not true. The MK3s is an outdated, slow printer. It's reliable, yes, but it's still outdated and slow. 8 bit board, no wifi, PETG printed parts. The e3D V6 hotend is not a bad hot end but it's also a dinosaur and a pain to change nozzles. Super old style LCD screen. Have you seen a Sovol SV06? Not too bad for $260, almost fully assembled and even better than a MK3s in many ways. You know that statement is not true, c'mon dude, don't fool yourself. I like Prusa but I also think the have distanced themselves from their roots and the community. Their main focus in not the MK..line anymore, I hope they stick the landing with the XL when and IF they land but a I'm not holding my breath. Prusa is no more the go to printer manufacturer for workhorse printers. The MK3s has been left behind and the XL, well it's March already, it's not here yet and when it is we don't even know how it's going to work. Don't forget, this is the first Core XY printer attempt for Prusa. Time will tell but again, I'm not holding my breath.

RE: Unofficial Prusa XL Waiting Thread

Yes. That was my post. What's your point? That the X1 Carbon has issues? Well actually that's not the X1 Carbon, that actually is the AMS, totally different machine. The X1 Carbon, has had issues like any other brand new and innovative release. BUT it's in a league completely above anything Prusa has to offer and for around the same price as an assembled MK3s, which at this point is a dinosaur. It's sad but it's a reality, Bambu Lab got Prusa with their pants down holding a kind of functional prototype of the XL. They were a successfull kickstarter and they keep delivering. Bambu Lab printers are printing right now all over the world at speeds never imagined by any Prusa printer also using materials never imagined by a stock MK3s. In the meantime, No MK4, No XL. All we have is a MK3s wich need to be upgraded to even have wifi. Creality even has the sonic pad with klipper, octo what? the phrase here is "Left behind"

RE: Unofficial Prusa XL Waiting Thread

And if Bambu Lab can withstand the test of time

They will not 😀    This printer is overhyped.

Many important parts are not available as replacement.

The Carbon rods are necessary to enable the fast head movements, but they will wear and are also not available as replacement.

People praise this printers as so super innovative...

Klipper? - not their invention

Bambu Studio Slicer? Other people developed this over many years!

LIDAR - They choosed this because they had experience with LIDAR from the drones - not because it is the best solution for 3D printing 🙂

You can view comparisons between prints with / without LIDAR from their printers on Youtube - it is hard to see a difference...
While printing the LIDAR does NOTHING.

The next joke is, it cannot be used with a textured build plate ??? I need the texture on any of my prints ! This makes mechanical prints look professional.

Expect the lifespan of this printers to be "warranty period + 6 months"

Then they want to sell you the successor model. Because they told you from the beginning, that the printer is not ready yet 🤣 :

RE: Unofficial Prusa XL Waiting Thread

Yes. I agree, there are a lot of concerns with a new printer but you're making a lot of assumptions. First one being, they are not going to last. Carbon rods might wear out, and also there might be a way to replace them in the future. Their innovation is not on the individual components but on their implementation as whole. The whole printer is very well design, at a point where they released it and have had very few things to fix or improve. That's not easy to do. Time will tell, if what you're stating is true we'll see a lot of unhappy customers in a few months and if it's not and their printers succeed in the long run, and even if they don't, Prusa has a looooooooooot of work to do. The MK3s is a dinosaur at this point and an expensive one which is even worst.

RE: Unofficial Prusa XL Waiting Thread

Indeed, Bambu does not sell carbon rod. You know why ? Because all bambu printers are still under warranty so if you have a problem with it you open a ticket and they will send it to you by post with an assembly procedure which will not be easy to do but in the end not as hard as disassembling completely a whole extruder.

And for information, I print perfectly on the textured plate that I bought directly from bambu.
