Průša XL & InkJet extruder
Hi,
considering Průša XL has a tool changer I was thinking it could be relatively simple to plug InkJet extruder and do full color prints with Průša XL.
I am currently not aware of any such effort anywhere, but I'm creating this thread to track progress in this area.
Is anybody aware of company/hobbyist playing with idea of building InkJet extruder? 😊

Sure! 😊 When you want to print colorful things without manual painting… 😊
There is even commercial printer using this technology (check: ), just that printer sucks and I think Průša XL could do same thing with just added extruder, which is much cheaper than buying specialiased printer 😊
(I am aware you can print out of 5 colors now, but 5 colors is not same like full CMYK…)

Where I worked have a multi-function printer that can put different tools on. Can do CNC as well as laser and 3D printing, even multiple heads. It was very expensive and difficult to run. Only saw it used a few times while all the other printers were almost always in use.
I agree that the changeable mutli-head feature is a great idea and the correct way for the future from a technical point of view. An open standard I feel would cause an explosion on the market if "heads" can be used across different products. Maybe the XL can lead the way.
