Was there any information from Prusa when they´ll do the next update? It´s quite a while since the last update and I thought they would ship the first ones in december.

They released a completely unworthy version of Slicer 2.5.0 to try and make people happy, it's probably best if you just wait till the XL is ready, and for all my experience and research, it ain't. Sad thing is they probably won't fix the mistakes made in slicer. I would have rather waited for it to be right also.

The last info was, that before the holidays, there would be another blogpost.

Source: Last XL blogpost, last paragraph: "We’ll be back with another update before the winter holidays"

RE: Prusa Delays

Thanks, so according to the blog "before the winter holidays" there should be an update this week.

(At least if they meant the winter holidays this year)

RE: Prusa Delays

And the last Prusa video talked about 2.6, which isn’t out yet.

Is Prusa (the company or the man) every going to learn to shut their pie-hole about what is coming and instead talk about what is here?  I know the ‘what is coming’ is what they are working on, but that is irreverent to us.

It is just amazing that they do it over, and over, and over?  I guess that no one has incurred a negative outcome over it, so there is no reason to change…

RE: Prusa Delays

I don't see an update coming before the holidays (though as I write this there really isn't much time remaining), and can you imagine them making one in-between new year? Not really, the whole building/factory may be shut. It would be odd to see one before as their record of releasing the PrusaLive blogs are usually at the end of each month, to do one early would be un-Prusa.

I can see why they have had the chance to work on so many different things, as said way back, due to the delays of parts. But the list of things I've heard of are 'coming' is really growing. Once the long awaited parts start arriving, I hope teams aren't then stretched too far.

I can't figure why the incessant complaining is not getting them to change.

I highly doubt Prusa looks at these forums a lot.  Either send them an email or cancel your order.  Actions speak louder than words.

Complaining and whining / crying on the forum probably will not get you what you want.

That´s what I did yesterday. Let's see if it's worth buying the XL once it's available. Maybe I'll buy it without pre-ordering then.

To be honest, I don't think prusa team is looking at the XL forum here at all. As you also can see, there is not even a sticky post for the second dev update, so....

I had a dream last night that the XL was shipped 🤣.  It will come when it comes.  In the meantime, I'll be modding my 8 year old MakerBot clone, even more, to run on klipper.  Because, why not? 🙂

Couldn't agree more. Prusa doesn't owe anyone an explanation about anything. Take your money elsewhere.

If you don't get enjoyment or have anything helpful to offer, it may be best for you to simply move on from threads where folks are expressing frustration and holding a company accountable to what that company promised.

I have no need to move along, as the topic of discussion here interests me and the group of us are venting. You seem to take some offense to it, and resort to name calling and belittling attitude. Surely you have better things to do and would be happier elsewhere.

RE: Prusa Delays

I did not call any names.  I did imply that people were whining and crying.  It would be better if someone asked directly by email when the next update is coming rather than gathering allies of the Miserables on the forum.  I did it last time and got a response in 2 hours.  I don't need the info now.

My only point is why post every week "how terrible Prusa treats its customers."  They like to keep info internal to the organization till they are ready to release a product.  I think that is smart business sense in a day when companies from China like to copy your products.  .

RE: Prusa Delays

I am not unhappy.  I could care less.  I am trying to help people who seem very unhappy about not having an answer.  I indicated they would unlikely get it from a post on the forum.  All they have to do is ask by email.  The worst that will happen is they will be ignored.  I asked two questions (one on the XL), and each time, I got an answer within 24 hours.
