Is the Nextruder hot end design choice a mistake?

If you need speed, switching to a Volcano hotend with the V6 adapter should be a straight swap, shouldn't it? The sensing should adapt to the new nozzle height automatically, I would think. The cooling fan will be a bit out of place, though, so if you want cooling you might need to print a new fan duct.

I'm using a 0.8mm nozzle now, to print some objects that were designed with that in mind, and I'm also really noticing the volumetric flow rate limit. The Prusa profiles don't seem to have the proper volumetric limit in them either, I got extrusion failures if I didn't turn the print speed way down.

You would probably need to fit an XL  heater and thermostat to the volcano hot end to benefit from the longer melt zone.
