How does the Original XL print an unsupported two-inch-long portion of the print without sagging?

I just got my Prusa Original XL. It is an amazing machine. But I am printing a frame fortwo oi a project of mine and was wondering how it can print an unsupported two-inch-long portion of the print without sagging. I imagine the print head temperature dropped. Anyway, it is PFM to me.

You will need supports for that, I would say. But you have an XL - so you could use a soluble filament for the supports, thus keeping the quality high.

You can also just use PLA to support PETG or vice versa, as they don't stick to each other. However, my reading was that the OP was asking how the printer accomplished something it'd already done, not asking how to do it.

I am printing with PETG. So if I can use PLA for a bridge, I need to know how to do that. I only have a single tool setup for now so I’m sure it involves pausing the print to take out the PETG and put in the PLA. Then pausing again to return it to PETG to finish the print
