Heavy printhead
I am in love with all the upgrades in the Nextruder. That being said, it looks rather heavy. We have a cycloidal drive, swappable hotend, breakout board, and extra sensors. I think Nextruder can benefit greatly from input shaping. I'm aware they're going for quality over speed, but with that size, average printing speed will likely produce ringing. I haven't heard any mention about an accelerometer in the Nextruder, however.

Need to check the live-stream video, I'm sure it was mentioned there that it was actually about 30% lighter, not heavier....

I'm sure they or someone else will rapidly figure out how to attach an accelerometer to do input shaping. It's only done once, so it doesn't need to be part of the system permanently. When someone (else) has done it, we can all share the data as well if our printers aren't very different.

Well color me surprised and delighted!
RE: Heavy printhead
If you check the livestream around 46:30 they say it is a little more than 30% lighter...
RE: Heavy printhead
Maybe the force-sensor data can be used for input shaping without an accelerometer?
