Automated Sequential Printing?
I had an idea last night about utilizing the segmented heat bed. You could print 1 part on the left side and then start on another one on the right side when that's done. While the 2nd is printing the 1st would cool down and then the print head would push that part off the bed into a tub. Then the left side would restart.
Another thing that would be nice would be automatic filament switching if one spool runs out.
This would probably take some tinkering with Prusaslicer, which is not up my alley. 🤔
RE: Automated Sequential Printing?
We don't yet know if we can control individual heat bed segments. I thought it was controlled by the control module under the heat bed grid. But that is an interesting idea.
RE: Automated Sequential Printing?
Okay, there is probably often a problem with the Z dimension of the part that's printed first. But as long as movements aren't inflicted by obstacles even to avoid swapping from part to part once every layer could be avoided and maybe a better quality achieved.

I thought that they had said the heat bed was able to be heated by segment. Prusaslicer already will print individual items- and with this bigger bed, I think your plan has some serious merit. Probably need a tool push the items out of the ‘box’
