RE: How to write an OpenPrintTag
I already knew about the reformat trick. The point is that I can't use NFC.cool to manage the information on a Prusa generated tag. I don't know who's out of spec, all I know is that I can't manage the Prusa generated tags right now. I have to use the Prusa connect app.
I'd also like to see NFC.cool do something similar to the Prusa connect app where I can edit the consumed amount by simply putting in the current weight of the spool and filament. NFC.cool would then just use the weight of the spool in the tag and subtract it out for me and record it.
RE: How to write an OpenPrintTag
Still no way to create new tags using Android?
RE: How to write an OpenPrintTag
Sequence I had to follow (on iOS):
use the free trial for NFC.Cool to Format the tag under NFC Expert (sorry but I'm not going to pay $35/year just to format a tag which should be basic functionality I would think as it's not any specific format, just formatting a raw tag).
Then you can either clone a tag in Prusa, or manage the tag using the NFC.Cool OpenPrintTag free functionality. That seems to be working.
Pondering a "pure" OpenPrintTag app but I'm wondering if the INDX system is going to or has some of the auto-recognition features that Bambuu put in their multilateral handler? Anyone know from the Core One L so far?
RE: How to write an OpenPrintTag
You can also use the free NFC Tools to format as well.
RE: How to write an OpenPrintTag
Is there no hackers in here?
Generate a QR code on a webpage, scan with the Prusa app. Write to tag?
Maybe Prusa can do this for us?

Not sure what you mean. You can use a variety of tools (on iOS at least) to write to the tag. Anyway, it’s still early and the tools are not fully available yet. There is a Python and C++ library available on GitHub but I’m not sufficiently interested to work with it just yet. The tools and integrated support will be available from Prusa soon.
RE: How to write an OpenPrintTag
What I meen is that if I scan the qr code from a Prusa filament roll with the Prusa app I can program the tag with the Prusa app.
The qr code just contains some data I guess-
I have no clue how it works it was just a suggestion.

How do you write to a tag using the Prusa app? AFAIK it can only read tags, not write.
EDIT: it does have write capability!
RE: How to write an OpenPrintTag
This one can read/write the tags:
https://apps.apple.com/se/app/nfc-tools/id1252962749
Now I need to find out how to format the information.
Booring that the OpenPrintTag tool spits out a bin file.
