Help identify this printer
Can anyone identify this printer for me? It requires a new LCD unit that I have located but from what I have been told it was running Marlin with Spanish as the selected language. I would like to change the configuration to English but without knowing make or model I am reluctant to to mess with it. It has an AVM20 Lite that is a combined driver board/drivers/ AT Mega that is compatible with the Arduino Mega 2560 plus 1.4 RAMPS board so should be easy enough to install Marlin but which flavor?
RE: Help identify this printer
It looks like it might be a Chinese clone of the Original Prusa i3 (MK1, circa 2015) with some mods added. You'd probably have a lot better luck posting on a general 3D printing forum on the likes of Reddit or Facebook.

@3delight
Thanks for your advice, I did suspect this printer was a clone. I'll give the Reddit/Facebook forums a try. The AVM20 Lite board is made in Spain (where I am living) so it makes sense the printer having mods made here.

I would try to connect to it using Pronterface (any serial terminal will do) and do an M503 to dump the settings to the terminal.
M503 is the G-CODE for Report Settings.
Then use those settings to install a fresh Marlin 2. (2.0.9.3 is the current stable version).
From there you can fine-tune and mod it any way you like.
I used this frame upgrade when upgrading my MK2 to MK2.5s and can recommend it if your clone has the same frame dimensions.
I have no special talent. I am only passionately curious

There are plenty of inexpensive upgrades you can make to quickly enhance it also, for instance that the threaded z axis rods are held in place by a thick adhesive tape you could replace it by using flexible couplings (even 3D printed ones can be a big improvement) and even replace the threaded rods using better quality leadscrews.
However, I would not spend excessively on it. It's a good project for those who want to start up the printer yourself, but when you're not seeking an idea and simply require a printer you could make use of, it's better off buying something similar to an ender 3.
