Upload files to connect Storage instaid of MK4 usb
Hi,
On my MK3S when i uploaded a file it went to Prusa sonnect Storage but with the MK4 the files go directly to usb (it doesn't upload if i do not have the usb plugged)
Is there a way to change this behaviour so it uploads to storage instaid usb? Thanks!

Hi, what are you doing exactly? When you upload through connect, it should always go to the connect storage first. If you connect directly to the printer (no connect) it cannot do that, so it goes straight to the usb/pi sd card. I am not aware of it happening differently on the MK4.
RE:
Thanks for the answer!
When slicing it and uploading it through prusaslicer it says it goes to usb
My printer config (tried connect but only got it working with link)
The files with my MK3S used to be on prusa connect and not in the SD card, now the files are on the usb directly, although since last connect update i no longer see on prusa connect different storage for local files or usb files
RE:
On prusa connect you can also see files being saved to usb instaid of connect storage

The connect files have a new tab at the top, separate from the printers themselves. You can configure PrusaSlicer to upload through Connect instead of to your printer directly, that should save your files to the cloud in addition to sending them to your printer. Select the PrusaConnect host type in the physical printer dialog and paste the Prusa Connect API key from the settings tab in Connect into the "API Key / Password field
RE:
Thanks, i tried that a while ago but i got an error, i've tried again and got Unauthorized error using the key from settings., the Prusalink key works perfectly from prusaslicer but it uploads to printer directly
I'm getting both keys (link or connect from prusa connect settings)
RE: Upload files to connect Storage instaid of MK4 usb
You need to give it the Prusa Connect web address: https://connect.prusa3d.com It pre-fills it automatically if there is nothing in the field, unfortunately it leaves the ip address in there if it was already filled. The way you got it, your slicer tries to talk to your printer as if it were connect. That cannot work

Thanks! Now its working through connect 🙂
Sometimes its extremely slow to send files to printer but it works

Yea, the upload speeds are a known issue. Glad it works tho
