Two Factor Authentication

Is anyone experiencing issues enabling two-factor authentication and connecting to Prusa Connect? I get sporadic connection drops and it's very difficult getting all six of my MK4 reconnecting. I just disabled it and reconnected all my printers, and i get very consistent connection information i log into prusa connect website.

RE: Two Factor Authentication

I would like to turn of the nagging reminder to set up Two Factor Authentication as I have no interest in setting it up. Any ideas how to turn off the nag screen at start up?

Adblockers in browsers have an option to hide html elements

See my GitHub and printables.com for some 3d stuff that you may like.

Welp, you should be using it. It uses the standard authenticator protocol thingy, so it shouldn't be much of a hassle to setup

I'm with DoctorG on this one. Considering this is connecting to the one machine on my well-protected home wifi network I really do not see the need.
I'd be prepared to settle for appending a username and password to Chrome's bookmarked URL. Would this be a security issue?

RE: Two Factor Authentication

That is the answer I was given. It is your Prusa account, the one you order stuff with. Not using 2FA is not a good idea. They will not budge, so either hack it, so it's not an eyesore, or set it up. It's like 3 steps. You get the qr code, scan it in your auth app of choice and enter a code if I remember correctly

Still, session hijacks exist. Welp, sorry for bugging everyone with the popup, but if I ask nicely if we could like, allow it to be hidden and I get a hard no, I cannot do much beyond that

It's OK, I appreciate that you want to protect accounts, but we are big boys (most of us!) and an option to say no - with perhaps another warning - would be my preferred solution. I was worried that I would need to go through 2FA every time I used Prusa Connect - but as that isn't the case I can live with it. Cheers

RE:

I should have made myself clearer. I'm not talking about Prusa Connect, but Prusa Link in which the printer's server generates a username and password which I have to laboriously copy from the XLCD screen.

RE: Two Factor Authentication

That is not 2FA, that's just a password tho. It's hhtp digest. You probably can somehow script it, so the password is pre-entered. One life hack is to register to connect. You are then able to copy and paste your API Kay password from the settings tab

I'm sure you know what all that means but I'm afraid I don't sorry.

RE: Two Factor Authentication

My apologies. You're right. It's not 2FA. But it's still a PITA.
My Connect is registered and I think I'll go forward with that.
Thanks for your time.
