Sending commands such as M92 for calibration purposes.
Is there a way to send commands and get feedback over Prusa connect/link/USB connection on the MK4? We got our assembled printers last week and the calibration cubes are a bit off and would like to dial that in.

Glad you asked as I was just about too. I've tried hooking it up to Pronterface and it wasn't doing so. I'm doing the same as you, so at the moment, I think itll be manually adding M92 commands to the G-code in prints in the custom start Gcode part of Prusa Slicer.
I really hope they change it/fix it to allow for this to be easier. I love the perfect first layer, but as a business, we need to be able to know something we print is the size we need it to be.

Hi, sorry, AFAIK we curremtly do not allow users to send custom gcodes over connect. Please contact support at info@prusa3d.com or on the store chat regarding the serial interface of the MK4. I think we tuned for dimensional accuracy, but this is not my domain. Sorry I cannot help more. Hope you'll find an answer soon

Thanks Tojik, I've sent an email and hopefully I'll be able to get some help with it. I must say the online chat team was rather less enthusiastic to offer any kind of help outside of 'you have to change it manually each time', and then no meaningful ways of doing so

Those are the same guys. Sorry with prusalink, people usually write here first, so i assumed you have not talked to support. I would try and approach the problem from the (my printer prints imprecisely, help)
If that does not work and you have a gcode workaround, a custom start gcode in the slicer is one way to ensure it's in effect during a print

Hi ! Any news about this ? I print with mk3s+ precisely calibrated (+/-0.03mm error margin) and need to do the same with my mk4. I'm a bit disappointed to discover I need to add an octoprint setup for this......

Yea, sorry, the decision was to not allow it' I'll try to float this again once the holidays are over.
RE: Sending commands such as M92 for calibration purposes.
Why would prusa prevent owners from sending g-code commands to the printer?
For example - I need to send a special g-code command (university project). I though Prusa is different from Bambu...

Would also need this! Have my Core One and since its enclosed i would like to try drying an old roll of filament over night which is too wide for my filament dryer.. Since the safety timer turns off the heater after 30 min i need to send a special command like „M86 S0“ to disable the limit. Since you can never add buttons for all special cases some people want to do please allow in an expert mode a full gcode console where we can send commands via the browser. At the moment im making manual file on a PC with the one gcode line in and transferred it to the printer, so we can already run any command just make it a bit easier please. (especially on mobile devices..) and a bit more open and hacker friendly like the company philosophy..
