Updated to 5.0, first input shaper print randomly stops

The print started off just fine, but after 10 minutes it did something I've never seen before. The print just stopped and the extruder went to the back corner like it was done with the print.. I noticed briefly that the temperature was a couple degrees higher than my set filament temp which may be unrelated, but that was slightly off.

Anyone else experience this on 5.0 release? This is a big bummer, I was hoping to switch to input shaping permanently. I looked up this issue and people seem to have had this issue in the past... with no clear reason it seems other than maybe a weirdly corrupted Gcode file?

I have also experienced this twice, and on the same print, with the same g-code. However, this was when I was on the alpha 5.0.0 firmware. So I just assumed it was a bug in the firmware as well as the sliced g-code. Once I resliced my model and ran a print with a new g-code, everything printed fine.

I don't really know what causes this, and it is interesting that this issue is still prevalent in the official 5.0.0 firmware.

How did you transfer the file to the mk4?  If via PrusaConnect or PrusaLink, there were confirmed bugs in prior 5.x.x versions that caused file corruption.  No idea if those still exist in the 5.0.0 production release.

Take a look at the file on the USB stick (load into text editor, scroll to bottom, see if it looks incomplete or corrupted).  Better yet, re-slice and save locally, then compare to the file on USB.

If the usb file is good, then it would seem to point to firmware…. Though I haven’t seen any similar reports yet for 5.0.0.  I have had no issues with 5.0.0 yet, but I am using Octoprint so cannot attest to the usb transfer or usb printing.

Hmm I'll have to do more tests when I have time I guess, thanks I'll try that
