RE:
I have reported to support similar thing. In vase mode I was getting "seams" and artifacts at points where Z layer change would occur in a non-vase print. Provided 3mf, gcodes and photos between 4.7.2 and 5.0.0A4 They said it was passed to devs. Hoping that a fix will be included in 5.0.0 release.
I tested the vase mode with the 5.0.0 RC and the new slicer profiles (structural 0.4mm IS) and there is still the problem that a nat and the retracts are visible.
With the 4.7.2 it works without problems.
RE: 5.0.0-RC Firmware for Original Prusa MK4
I have printed from PETG (2kg Prusament JetBlack) many things with InputShaper 5.0.0 RC.
Very nice and fast.
Model with supports:
MK3S+: 8h 23m
MK4: 7h 38m
MK4 Input Shaper: 3h 29m
RE: 5.0.0-RC Firmware for Original Prusa MK4
RC1 is impresive, print quality in structural mode is great
some problems:
In vase mode was getting "seams" ,
printer freezes on "reprint"
RE: 5.0.0-RC Firmware for Original Prusa MK4
Network uploads seem to be a lot slower compared to the latest alpha. Maybe that's just a subjective feeling. 🙂
RE: 5.0.0-RC Firmware for Original Prusa MK4
I can confirm the slow upload.
RE: 5.0.0-RC Firmware for Original Prusa MK4
Slower even than the last full release 4.7.2?
I hope not .....
RE: 5.0.0-RC Firmware for Original Prusa MK4
Everything works stable for me with 5.0.0-RC except for one issue I am having when printing large first layer.
Currently printing 220mm x 180 sorting trays, and first layer has very visible "zebra pattern".
It is visible when using either 0.20mm SPEED or 0.20mm STRUCTURAL profiles, on both smooth and satin sheets, eSun PLA+ Grey filament.
When printing using 5.0.0-RC firmware, but "classic" printer & profiles from PrusaSlicer - 0.30mm DRAFT - the issue is gone.
Any advices apart from printing layers slower?
RE: 5.0.0-RC Firmware for Original Prusa MK4
When using 5.0 RC on my MK4 the Y axis will not home and returns an error screen. I did all the suggested fixes from belt tension to bearing checks. I don't believe its any of that cause when using 4.7 my printer homes all axis fine. Only time I got it to work was first time I installed 5.0RC, did a print and then after went to do another and got the Y axis homing error. Have tried reflashing several times. Pretty much stuck with 4.7 for now.
RE: 5.0.0-RC Firmware for Original Prusa MK4
I can also confirm that ethernet upload speeds are about half as fast as they were with 5.0 Alpha 4. I haven't tried wi-fi at all, so I don't know if it was affected.
Other than that...awesome job guys! The input shaping/pressure advance is amazing!
RE: 5.0.0-RC Firmware for Original Prusa MK4
I cannot figure out why round tube objects take longer in the Mk4 with input shaping but it is significant.
Great test! My guess is that it has to do with acceleration. When you print a corner it has to slow down more and then speed up again where as when printing a cylinder, it has smooth transitions where it can maintain speed. X1C probably uses higher acceleration.
RE: 5.0.0-RC Firmware for Original Prusa MK4
XYZ test did not worked on my MK4 with 5.0.0 RC input shaping firmware. I´ve done factory reset and installed 4.7.2 firmware, then it worked. I´ll wait on official release.
RE: 5.0.0-RC Firmware for Original Prusa MK4
Looks like stable release should arrive between Friday - Early next week according to the latest podcast.
RE: 5.0.0-RC Firmware for Original Prusa MK4
Great news even though the RC is working pretty well for me. Love the I.S.
RE: 5.0.0-RC Firmware for Original Prusa MK4
I am very expectant! I had with no alpha version so many problems (ugly surfaces, layer shifts, problems with the load cell, so that my print board is now messed up,...), as with the current rc version. This went so far that after several tests I downgraded the firmware again.

RE: 5.0.0-RC Firmware for Original Prusa MK4
It looks like I may be having issues with the RC f/w. I was able to do a couple prints successfully, but I'm working on a simple third print and the printer keeps trying to change the filament. I've tuned the filament sensor once already, I'm just now trying to tune it again. I may just have to disable the filament sensor if this doesn't work.
RE: 5.0.0-RC Firmware for Original Prusa MK4
Looks like the re-tune worked. I'll be keeping an eye on the printer for a while, though, until the stable f/w is released.

A stable release is expected soon. Friday or early next week.

thanks in advance

First, make sure that your PrusaSlicer configurations are up to date: 'Configuration' -> 'Check for Configuration Updates'
Then select the profiles that you want to show up: 'Configuration' -> 'Configuration Assistant...' -> 'Prusa FFF'.
