I wonder if this happened to anyone else.....

I'm just a hobbyist, not an intensive user at all. I installed the input shaper firmware when it was released, and Prusaslicer 2.7 (which has  since been superseded by 2.71). Everything worked ok, and I've been using it happily ever since.

Last week I bought a new pc. So I had to install fresh copies of everything on it. I've found now that my Mini is way, way faster than ever it's ever been. Quite astonishing actually. Looking for what is different, I realised that in Prusaslicer on the new pc, my printer is listed as "Original Prusa MINI & MINI+  Input Shaper". On the old pc it's still listed as "Original Prusa MINI & MINI+". So that's the difference.  I tried adding a new printer definition which includes the input shaper, but I can't find it. Presumably there's a setting somewhere that I've missed when I've done the upgrade.

So I'm wondering how many other people have done the upgrade, but haven't got the Input Shaper configured in Prusaslicer?

install PrusaSlicer 2.7.1 and then in menu select Configuration > Check for configuration updates, apply it and then run Configuration > Configuration wizard  and add missing profile for the printer with Input Shaper profile?

Thanks for the reply.

On my old pc,  frequently when I launch Prusaslicer, it pops up a dialog saying "Configuration update available". I always let it do it's thing. Shouldn't this have installed everything?

RE:

it only updates current profiles but will not import new ones that did not exist, so you have to re-run wizard

I just looked at the current instructions for doing the Input Shaper upgrade, and yes it does state that you need the new profile, but I've not understood what that meant. My printer worked afterwards. So there was nothing shouting at me to say that I had missed something. This is why I started this thread. Maybe other people installed the new firmware and Prusaslicer without installing the new profile?
