Bondtech extruder and incorrect filament, lots of under extrusion.

Trying again with the black I have on hand, then going to step up the extruder to see what changes.

Very excited about this! Was planning on buying the Bambu A1 when it was released because of how slow the Mini has been. This is definitely going to hold off that purchase since it's breathing new lift into my 4 year old machine.

RE: 5.1.0-alpha1 Firmware for Original Prusa MINI/MINI+ with Input Shaper and Prusa Connect!

I was just about to sell my Mini, having an MK4 and a fresh new 5.0 FW on it... now you gave a new life to my MINI, love revamped... Overall It's a fantastic idea, and hope it will be turned into a prod release soon.

First impression is good, although I had a homing failure and a crash right away after I have cancelled my very first print.

Some feedbacks:
- the default input shaper profile turns off the Skirt on both MK4 and the MINI. While I understand the idea but I think it won't work on the MINI that good as the bowden setup tends to ooze a bit more still - right after the intro line - especially if the starting point of the print is far away of the end of the intro line.  I had to restart the first print test twice due to this problem.

- Preheat function doesn't make sense to me - all printings start with 170 nozzle temp and material bed temp - why do we have a pre-heat temp with material nozzle temp? If I pre-heat then it's oozing and I have to wait till it cools down to 170°C. Choosing pre-heat then go to settings and change it to 170°C by hand all the time. At least allow us to tune the pre-heat temps. Pretty please.

- Please provide some more profiles to Mini, even at Alpha phase just to have an idea how it a 'structural' profile would look like...

Nice plans, but for me, it doesn't work, if I select any file, with or without IS, it frozes and goes to BSOD

I have two minis and after flashing the new firmware they both, but the both have their screens flashing on and off every few seconds. It makes it very tricky to navigate the menus.

Just installed everything and it looks very promising. I ran into a bug though, when I try to login to prusalink it wont accept my password on a mac. I just keeps popping up the password menu. On my windows computer there is no problem loggin in.

Cheers!

Ps. holy crap its now printing the benchy and the speed is insane 😀

Can anyone tell me what is wrong with my corners? I used the G-code that comes with the firmware and use prusament PLA. Should be good right? Some hardware issue perhaps?

I'm very impressed.

I printed this Benchy with PETG and a 0,6mm Nozzle.

Good job Guys !!!

Only able to install the firmware on one of my four Minis.  Odd, the boot loader is not recognizing it.

I'm using Bondtech extruder and this firmware - no issue so far. It's a bit louder than the original extruder though. Especially at higher retraction speeds.

I didn't changed any settings, as the steps were already adjusted - and it kept it after the firmware update.

I also have the Bondtech extruder, I just copied my E-steps to the pre-run for the Alpha machine settings, though, along with my PID.

Mini+: Bondtech extruder, Bondtech throat, Input Shaper firmware -- XL: single toolhead, Bondtech CHT 0.6mm, Input Shaper firmware

Has anyone tried it with a Dragon hotends, which I have on all my Minis?

What version of the bootloader is it ? I observed that my boatloader was updated with the 4.4.1 firmware , I had to step through that upgrade as per the instructions  as I was on an older rev.

Would anyone share/link the print settings when using PrusaSlicer 2.6.1 and Prusha Mini Input Shaping profile that could achieve slicing of a Benchy with print time at about 20 minutes in order to test it?

There's a link located at the bottom of the ALPHA release page in the Assets section.  It provides G-Code for the Bonkers Benchy (16 minutes) and SpeedBoatRace Benchy (26 minutes)

The only issue I have - and it's repeating - the X homing error. It takes 3-4 times till I can start a print, despite have the belt tension double-checked, and all fine with X axis movement...
