Surface of original prusa parts
Hey there,
i am trying to print some things with the same surface as the orange original Prusa parts, but the results are poor.
i ordered the coated coarse bed which i expected to be the reason for the surface, but maybe i dont get the settings right.
i am using PETG, which should be as with the original parts, is it possible that i need a bigger nozzle?
thanks for any help,
Juergen

Pictures? What are you seeing that is not what you expected?
Prusament Orange PETG on the textured sheet is how Prusa prints its parts, with a standard 0.4mm nozzle.
Remember that the textured sheet is quite a bit thinner than the smooth sheet, so you will have to adjust live Z or you won't have fun.

RE: Surface of original prusa parts
I've printed a number of remixed Prusa parts for the MK3S and for the MMU2S using the textured sheet and Prusa(ment?) orange PETg and they all came out just like the factory originals or better.
For the Z cal on the textured sheet, what I've been going for lately is to have just enough 'squish' on that first layer to get the 'brush strokes' to just disappear when viewing the bottom surface. Yes, this is a bit lower than what I typically run on the smooth sheets.

@juergen
I might be wrong, but on your pictures you show the top surface. The surface you mentioned (e.g. the front of the prusa original display case) comes from the down surface when printed on the textured steel sheet.
