Straighten a bent model
I have a long flattish model which has bowed slightly after I took it off the plate. I'm thinking maybe I can can put it in my kitchen oven to slightly soften the PLA and then put it on a flat surface with a weight on top. My kitchen oven is the modern digital type. So I can quite accurately set a temperature. Has anyone in here done this? And what temperature would be good to try?

I use heat gun but 135 Celsius should do it only keep in for about 2 minutes once reached temperature

Annealing works well with flat parts. If you can clamp or weight the part flat then you only need to go just over the glass transition temperature of the filament, eg. for PLA 65 degrees celcius is enough, keep it there for 10 -15 minutes. Most modern electric ovens are accurate enough.
As a rough guide for general filaments, if you don't know the glass transition temperature add 5 to the recommended print bed temperature, consult the manufacturer or see: https://help.prusa3d.com/materials

I heated my oven to 135. I put the model in and watched it. After only 60 seconds I saw it move. So I took it out and clamped it. It is perfectly straight now. Thanks guys.

I found out that soldering hot station with regulated temperature is marvellous in that matter. Also helps to remove stringing residues, or use it as an addon to dry wet filament ( but that needs more thought and care)
The only drawback that they tend to have 100C minimum, so just have to experiment with the distance from which blow the hot air, just as with normal hot air blower.
In edge cases you can use hair dryer 🙂
