Prusa Mini starts spaghetting near end of print - Z Skipping?
Hi
I am just wondering what to do about this - it has happened a few times that I've printed one of these - https://www.printables.com/model/154853-aesthetically-pleasing-lamp#preview
and it fails near the end. You can see some of the layers are compacted below and then it recovers, but ultimately it happens again and it starts spaghetting & dislodges the print from the bed. There is no consistent point at which it fails. I have tried re-slicing and it still happens.
Here there are some compacted layers near the top but it prints to completion
Compacted layers, recovers, then ultimately fails

If you are using PETG, personally I had a similar problem with this. A way I fixed it was by reducing the temperature in the slicer settings. Could be that it is way too hot and stringing a whole ton. But Hmm, about the compacting it is quite bizarre. Have you watched it do it? Cause it can’t be doing that on its own except if there is something making it fail. Can you give more context on what it is doing right when it starts to fail?
