PETG

Hey everyone,

I'm having trouble with PETG and I'm out of ideas.

Tried adjusting retraction, lower temperature, new nozzle, clean and maintain the printer as per the manual.

Any particular tip i'm missing? I'm about to give up on PETG and just buy PLA. I don't have special need for PETG, this is still my first spool, I haven't used it because I can't get a nice print.

Printer: Prusa Mini+

Filament: Prusament PETG

Temperature: Nozzle from 250 to 230 / Bed: 85

This is what I got:

Looks to me like your spool of PETG is quite wet.

I do not have the Mini, but your photo shows stringing that is very typical of damp filament.

When I need to, I usually dry the filament in a Ninja Cooker set on dehydrate mode at maybe 120F/49C overnight.

You can do it in an electric (not gas) oven set at a low 'warming' temperature as well.

Interesting...
It might be a damp filament indeed. I don't have any special care for my filaments (humidity wise) they are just next to the printer without any special protection.

I might get a dehydrator

I'm having the same issues with Prusament PETG. One would assume that the Prusament PETG profiles in Prusaslicer would be optimized but somehow it doesn't work out for me. I printed the mini+ base. Lots of days & PETG of printing, but because of the stringing and probably lack of using support, the base just doesn't fit right. No problems when printing PLA parts.
