My Z axis seems to not be moving.

My Z axis works when I go into control and move it up and down, yet when I start a print, it completes the first layer, but it doesn't look like the axis moves after that. The strange thing is, I already printed the same thing that keeps messing up, last week. The only difference is the a slight change in the size of the text on top, but that shouldn't be affecting the lower layers. When the nozzle keeps moving with the Z-axis unresponsive, it burns the filament. Any ideas?

Thank you for all your help,

RoboTrooper

There are a couple of possibilities but let's check the settings first; save your project as a .3mf file

Files > Save Project as

Zip the .3mf and post it here. It will contain both your part and your settings for us to diagnose.

The first link is the second version, the second link is the third version. Sorry, I ended up deleting the first version. They're supposed to be the base for a phone holder. The top is in a separate file, and printed fine last week. But I haven't had time to do a test print to see if anything's different. Sorry about the weird file names.  :/

Gcode is not much use for this - it contains the results but not, in a readable form, the settings. Post a .3mf as above.

I did a test print, and found that it's not the Z-axis. I don't know if the print might be going too fast. One thing I did notice, is that the print is slightly outside the printing area, an error on my part. Here is a photo of what the first layer looked like.

That look more like a dirty print sheet losing adhesion - easy to check.

No .3mf?

I'm sorry, I'm still pretty new to this. Do I save it as a .3mf file in Prusaslicer?

Embarrassed, as always,

Save it a .3mf file from PrusaSlicer, then compress it to a zip file using something like 7zip.  Then you'll be able to upload it on here.

I think I've figured out why my prints keep ending up burnt. It was because of this message:

I tried rejuvenating the sheet with multiple different techniques, and it worked! None of the print is peeling off the build plate. It turns out, it wasn't the Z-axis. It was the fact that my smooth PEI sheet hadn't been cleaned in a long time, and that caused the filament to get pushed around and burnt. Next time I won't jump to conclusions so fast.

Thanks for you help,

Glad you've found a fix.

Your part might be susceptible to warping so the brim you have configured makes sense.  I can see no detail to justify 0.15mm layers, I would use 0.2mm; grid infill may cause problems so consider switching to cubic or adaptive cubic.
