my second-hand beginner 3D printer doesn't work anymore

second , occasion printer failing after some good prints.

Hi everybody ! My first topic here.

Sometime ago I bought 2 ( secondhand ) prusa mini's . One seemed to fail and the other worked nicely. For some reason they swaped ?

Please see the print fail of my second prusa mini !

Thanks !

I have cleaned the nozzle , of blobs , globs or something ? Also did first level calibration again till it looked perfectly.

RE: my second-hand beginner 3D printer doesn't work anymore

the most common failure mechanism's are
1, Poor live Z (First layer calibration) and
2, Poor print sheet (build plate) preparation

you say that you have addressed the first issue

the second issue leads to a massive variation in options and advice...
Since I am the first person to respond to your post may I introduce My way!     (note, there are many options / opinions and I don't intend to get into any arguments...)
the end result, is, what ever works best for YOU...

in my case,  (for PLA) cleanliness is my best option
I take the print sheet, to the kitchen sink, and, using a spotlessly clean dish sponge (I dedicate a new sponge for this purpose) I put a little dishsoap on the print sheet and wash the print sheet vigorously with hot water, then I rinse the print sheet well, and dry immdiately with plain paper towels, keeping my fingers off the print surface

others may reccomend special sprays  or treatments... it's your choice what you use...
please be aware, that some filaments adhere exceptionally well to the print sheet. sometimes they are difficult to remove. if I suspect a filament will be difficult to remove,, I remove the print sheet from the printer, once the print is complete, let the printsheet and model cool completely, then I dribble isopropyl alcohol around the  base of the model, on the print sheet, ad leave it to soak for a couple of minutes and then try to remove the model, carefully.

some filaments need different approaches

Thank you for your response and sorry for my late answer ! I figure, the layer calibration was not saved perhaps  , So I tried again and immediately printed a Benchy  ( sort of )  Bur anyone here can see the printer is printing but messing up at the same time .

Is it possible that the printer resets or does not save settings after the First Layer Calibration is done ?
