I've even tried lowering the printing temperature or adjusting the Z axis, but still nothing. Thank you for the advice

Your printer need to be straight in x,y,z and from picture I can tell you its not. Its paint with this printer...

As the filament turns a corner it drags some of the previously laid strand with it rounding the angle.  All FDM curves distort slightly to the concave.

Calibrate your hole to a slight star shape and you should be able to acheive the desired result.
