Heavy stringing with Prusa Mini

I had some issues with  printing using my 3.5 years old Prusa Mini - material was not extruding well and constant.

After replacing the nozzle, and the PTFE tube, and tightening the idler screw, the printer is now fully functional - except for heavy stringing.

The filaments are PLA.

It is not the filament issue: I just got my 2nd printer, the MK4, which prints perfectly with same filaments.

Changing nozzle temperature from 210 to 100 and 195 didn't help.

Default Prusa Slicer settings are being used.

I know there are many factors for stringing, yet I have no idea how to isolate the problem and solve it.

Have you tried seeing if theirs any unwanted filament in the nozzle or tube try purging 7-15 times within 15 to 30 minutes the heat the nozzle preheat after your done let nozzle and tubes cool down to room temperature also what fila are you using whats the name of the pla i use pla all the time my printer is nearly 3 years coming up so if i ever run into this issue i can help others diagnostic i only used my printer like 60 times so its a fresh clean print 99.999% of the time without any editing or tweaking usually although i have ran into trouble with adhesion issues layering issues and even unwanted stringy ness with cheaper pla's have you dried your filament recently you need a 30-40 dollar filament dryer for a 1-2kg spool single one will do unless you plan on drying multiple or several anywho let me know im here to help im reverse engineering my 3dprinter to 3d print stem cells

I'm wondering if tightening the idler screw has affected the feed rate? For instance if the gearwheel is biting into the filament, thus narrowing/lengthening it slightly? Have you tried lowering the extrusion multiplier in Prusaslicer?

No - I don't know about this feature. I will try it.
