Have a mini and parts are not sticking to build plate
Hi,
I have a mini and lately there are issues with sticking to the build plate. Sometimes are the start of the print 4 to 9% done. Then I went back to the benchy to see if that would print. It was doing great up to the end of the print. I have tried slowing the print down (75-90%), turning up the nozzle and bed temp. Also, cleaned the nozzle out (260C for 2 minutes). Nothing seems to help. Never had these issues before. Looking for ideas? Thanks!

Hard to tell, the video quality is not the greatest. But from the first few lines and from the closeup of the square, I'd say you're still too high.
As I said before I think you're better off switching to a calibration model such as this https://www.printables.com/model/105404 Easier to interpret and you can test up to 8 live z settings in one print run of 5 minutes or so.

99% of these cases are solved by:
1. Washing the steel sheet thoroughly with hot water and additive-free dish washing soap, followed by rubs with 90+% isopropyl alcohol between prints;
2. Proper live Z calibration. If you can post a photo of a calibration print, either a large single layer square or a strip like https://www.printables.com/model/105404, we can comment on how close you are to a good first layer.

These issues almost always come down to first layer calibration and bed cleanliness.
Please return settings to default, dry your filament, clean your print sheet with dish soap and hot water (look up threads about bed cleaning), and run a first layer Z calibration then show us the resulting print *on the print sheet*.
A picture of the underside of a failed print is usually more useful for diagnostics than the top.

The little guy is a baby yoda. Started great but then got moved on the bed. Jeff

Your benchy was printed with Z too high, not negative enough, not enough squish.
But your calibration, especially the last one, was too low, too much squish.
At the end of the calibration you are aiming to print a single layer *sheet*. It should be possible to peel it off in one and fold it without the threads seperating. If it breaks into lines it is too high, not squished enough. If it is a single sheet but with wavy lines or drag marks on it you are too low.

Ok,
So I need to redo the first layer and bring it lower. I have had it as lower as -1.150 and it seemed like the nozzle was hitting high spots which caused it to be knocked out of position. Okay I will take the nozzle lower. Will try to post a pic or short video tomorrow. Thank you for the help, Jeff

Hi,
Here is the 1st layer calibration -1.170 is where it finished up. Follow link to video. Let me know if this worked. Thanks for your time and input. Jeff

WOW thanks Fuchsr!!! That is awesome. I think I am back on track. I can't believe I got anything to print before. Thanks again. Jeff

Hard to judge with that picture quality but you're close, try printing now, there's a good chance it's good enough.

Glad that worked out. Another little tip: Try to use a filament color that is not black and not white for the calibration. I find it a lot easier to interpret the results with something like gray or yellow etc.
