Gaps on side of print and ugly seam

I am trying to fine-tune my Prusa Mini and am running into some issues with random gaps in the walls of my prints and an ugly seam.

Background:

  • Prusa Mini with Super Pinda probe
  • Bondtech Extruder (with esteps calibrated!)
  • E3D v6 full metal hotend (with PID tuning!)
  • Hatchbox PLA
  • Preset Prusaslicer printer and print settings (except for cubics infill)
  • Prusament PLA preset filament setting

I have attempted to adjust some retraction settings with little success. I would appreciate any advice! Thank you!

Thats under extrusion, it means filament is not feeding smoothly all the time.   Lots on threads on here about that sort of issue with the mini so I'd suggest checking them out for possible causes and remedies.

Common things, check drive gears are clean.  Check drive gear tension.  Check your ptfe tube hasnt moved.  Check for a partial clog.  try bumping the print temp 5 degrees.  Etc etc.

Thanks! I will start checking into these suggestions! I would have thought underextrusion would be more consistent throughout my print, but maybe it is the extruder gears...
