Extra thickness on bottom of part?

Hi! I printed a part today that should have a smooth radius coming off the bottom of the part, where it sits on the print bed. What I got was a bump in the radius, and the bottom is thicker than what was in the CAD file.

In theory, should the pad that is visible on the bottom peel off? Or because it is a smooth radius, do I just live with this and do some sanding?

The problem is that a 'smooth curve' fillet on the bottom like like in effect is an extreme overhang to start with,  that cannot be printed without support, and its too close to the bed for support to fit anyway.  Its basically almost impossible to print nicely as designed.  That is why bottoms like that when designed for 3d printing are often designed with a 45 degree or similar angle to start with and then transition to the smooth curve.
